FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the ingredients used in the temporary henna tattoos?
The ingredients used to create our products are:
Acrylates Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Petrolatum, Linium Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Iron Oxides ( CI 77499), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Red 7 (CI 15850), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)
Is there a patch test?
Yes, all orders include a patch test. We advise all customers to perform a patch test 24 hours prior to tattoo application. This will allow you to see how your skin may react. If your skin becomes irritated we advise you to discontinue using the product. Also, avoid using if you have an allergy to ink or adhesive or have broken skin.
Are the temporary henna tattoos wudhu friendly?
Unfortunately, the tattoos are not wudhu friendly as they are waterproof so water is unable to transfer to the skin underneath. We recommend to complete wudhu prior to application.
How long do the temporary henna tattoos last?
They can last up to 4 days if cared for properly. See our Application & Aftercare to see how you can make your temporary mehndi tattoos last longer.
Are they waterproof?
Yes, our tattoos are waterproof. Please allow 20 minutes- 1 hour for the tattoo to dry and settle into the skin before making contact with water. This will help to preserve the tattoo and help it to last longer.
Do the temporary henna tattoos expire?
Yes, like all products our henna tattoos also have an expiry date. However, they have a very long shelf-life if stored correctly.
How are the tattoos stored?
To preserve the tattoos you simply need to store them away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Storing them in a cool and dry place will keep them as good as new.
Can the shine be removed from the temporary henna tattoos?
Yes, you can mattify your tattoos by using a small amount of setting/ baby powder. This will remove the shine. However, you need to be careful and use a small amount or else it may cause your tattoos to look chalky. It is normal for the tattoos to look slightly shiny and feel tight on the skin, however, this stops after a few hours. As your skin produces natural oils it will soften up the tattoo and allow it to blend in with your skin.
How can I clean my temporary henna tattoos?
We advise you to avoid touching your tattoos, however, if fibres become attached you can rinse off the tattoo with soapy water and gently pat it dry. It is important not to use harsh movements as excessive friction will cause the tattoo to flake off.
Are the temporary henna tattoos safe to use?
Yes. The tattoos are registered for the intended use of applying on skin for entertainment. They are Skin Safe and comply with the safety criteria for Europe.
